Our Computers Don't Believe In Dieting

While loading a program called Dropbox one of our Linux computers we got this message and thought it was great! "Downloading 6911 files (0.8 KB/sec, a long time left, grab a snickers)"

Got to love the geek humor!

Just a note..If you don't have your computer files backed up I highly recommend you do so.  How would you feel if you woke up the next morning to find you had lost everything.  You should have a backup on your actual computer and then another one off site, like Dropbox.  You can NEVER be to safe!  In addition to storage Dropbox allows you to access all of your files from anywhere.  That comes in real handy when your out of town and your family wants to see pictures of the kids!

Mmmm....Applesauce!

Tonight Isaac tried his first real food (he has tried rice).  We picked up some applesauce to see if he would like it.  HE DID!! Here are some pictures of how Isaac's supper went.

I'm not sure what this expression is.....I just thought it was adorable.  If you look real close you can see his tooth! I think I even see the second one too!

And there it is...He at about half of the container of applesauce and then had some milk and went right to sleep.  We shall see how long he sleeps tonight. (He slept 7 hours straight last night!)

I Lost

Going For A Walk

I had some business to take care of at our apartment office today so Isaac and I decided to go for a walk.  I would have taken his stroller but there is no way to get to the office without taking stairs. FAIL! Anyway, My brother gave me a backpack thing to use and I thought today would be a great day to try it out.  Isaac sat in it happily for about 30 minutes.  Thats how long it took me for to walk to and from the office and the time spend actually in there.  Yes, they are SLOW!  Once we got back home he was ready to get out.  I took this picture after the walk because I forgot to take one before.  Al in all, we had a great time walking in the nice spring weather.

Isaac had a long but good day and was very ready for bed! BIG YAWNS!!

A Trip To The Dentist

It seems my blog has a common theme.  Teeth!  Jordan had a dentist appointment this morning. It was just his bi-annual checkup but it turned in to a little more than he had hoped for.  I think he now realizes why we hound him so much on brushing his teeth.  He had 4 teeth, all in the back, that needed small fillings.  The cavities weren't bad yet but Jordan didn't like the whole idea.  All in all, he did great!  It only took about 45 minutes to put 8 fillings in.  They did 2 in each tooth.  Jordan ended up missing a whole day of school because his appointment was right smack in the middle of they day but I promise you he didn't complain about that!

Just a note, I really wish my phone's camera had a flash! I hate the way the pics turn out when the lighting isn't so great....

Look Who Has A New Tooth

I felt a tooth in my little man's mouth this morning!  Its on the bottom center!!  The only thing that gives him comfort right now is his own fingers in his mouth.

The Dress

I am very excited!! I got my dress for my Brother's wedding.  It is in June in Florida.  I just love the one I found, not to mention it was 50% off in an after Easter sale at JC Penny!!  What do you think?

Now all I need is shoes and jewelry to go along with it.  I have no clue what to wear.  I would rather borrow than buy so if you have something that would look great with this let me know.  I wear a size 7 shoe!

Bedtime Snack

I don't normally eat right before bed but tonight I was hungry.  Chris' mom came in town and hadn't eaten yet when they here.  They made a Wendy's run and I got my second dinner of the night!  I am making a promise to myself to not make a habit of this...but for some reason I was VERY hungry tonight.  I got a chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese..YUM! Here's a picture, hope it makes you hungry too.

4 Months Old

Isaac is 4 months old today!  So much about his has changed in the last month.  Here is what is he doing.

• Isaac weighs 14.6 pounds and is 24 inches long!
• He is VERY vocal.  He is always cooing or grunting or making noise of some kind.
• He can roll over from his back to his belly, however he doesn't like being on his belly so he doesn't roll much.
• Instead of rolling over he will lay in the floor and turn his body in circles.  he will be like north and we will look down and hes turned 180 degrees to face south.  This is how he gets around the room!
• He is a slobber machine.  At any given time you will find a nice flow of slobber coming out his mouth.  
• He hasn't not taken to the pacifier much.  He chooses to chew on his own fingers instead.
• Isaac LOVES to smile and laugh at his Dad and Brother, and of course his favorite person, ME!
• The little guy sleeps 5-6 hours straight through the night time.  He goes to bed around 10 and will sleep until 3, wake up and eat and go right back to sleep until about 6:30 when his Bubba gets up to get ready for school.  Then he likes to go back to bed until about 10! I was blessed with a good sleeper.  Thank God, because I love to sleep.
• Today not only marks Isaac's 4 month birthday but it also marks the day he ate solid foods for the first time.  When we went to the Dr. for his check up she told us we could start him on solids.  Rice mixed with his milk for now and move up to fruit mixed with rice within a couple of weeks!  So for dinner tonight Isaac had some rice.  I was shocked at how well he did with eating from a spoon.  He ate all that I had mixed up for him and then still had more milk after that.  Below are a few pictures of Isaac taking his first few bites!

Is it fixed

If you follow me on Twitter, Plurk, or Facebook you know that I am not a fan of AT&T.  They unfortunately are the only internet provider we can get that is affordable in the apartments we live in.  We have had Uverse service with them for the past two years and over that time have had about 20 techs come out trying to figure out why we drop service.  Our service, including both TV and internet will go down on average 20 times a day.  It is usually when we are watching a really good show or trying to do something important on-line.  We finally had enough and called today to cancel our TV service.  Why am I paying $80 a month when my service is down so often.  We don't need cable that bad, so we decided to just drop it.  We do however need the internet.  Chris got on and talked, or griped, to a tech support guy and yet again they sent out another tech.  But this one was different.  He check something none of the other guys had checked and found that the electricity in this apartment is not grounded correctly and that is causing issues with our modem.  WOW! Really?  Why didn't anyone ever check that before?  So how did he fix it?

What is this? Well I don't exactly know.  All I know is that it is a battery back up system.  Some how it grounds our power so that our modem will no get errors.  That's all that matters!  The technician, Blake, said that in the past 48 hours there had not been a 15 minute span where we didn't get an error.  He hooked this bad boy up and went over 30 minutes without issue.  As far as I can tell, we have not lost service since then.  Chris asked me if we wanted to call and add cable back on but I feel that we should just save that money.  I can watch any shows I miss on-line.  Hulu is awesome for stuff like that!  I hope this fixes the issues....we are in constant search of an internet replacement just in case.

If this does turn out to be the problem, it isn't ATT's fault.  It is the wiring in this old apartment.  But it is however AT&T's fault that it took 20 guys to figure this out.  Blake doesn't even work here.  He is from Austin and came down to help them out because they are short handed.  I'm glad Blake came!

Isaac loves to be in only his diaper.  He is free to move around as he wishes with no clothes holding his arms and legs back!
